PAPER TRANSPORT ADDS JACKSONVILLE DRAYAGE SERVICE

JACKSONVILLE FL - Paper Transport, Inc. is adding drayage capacity to serve the ports and rail lines in Jacksonville, FL. This move is part of a larger effort that will greatly expand their position in the drayage market.

The Jacksonville area is expected to open a new port in the spring of this year, effectively doubling the port capacity. Joe Shefchik, Intermodal Operations Manager at Paper Transport, notes, “Jacksonville is a good opportunity for us for a number of reasons. First, the growth expected in the port will be key. Additionally, we have a van division in the area. So, we have some knowledge of factors affecting the marketplace in the area. We will focus on further developing our existing relationships to move freight off the rail lines, and will be looking to the ports for continued growth.”

One of the short-falls of rail shipments has been transit time and service. Paper Transport works to combat that. Customers have noted, “Paper Transport provides excellent service at reasonable prices. The support staff is awesome and they go out of their way to provide great service. We use them for all of our domestic moves.”

Paper Transport, headquartered in Green Bay, WI, currently operates 218 power-units, with a focus on dedicated operations and intermodal drayage. They operate drayage terminals in Chicago and Rochelle, IL. They can be reached at 800-317-3650, info@papertransport.com, or www.papertransport.com.
