Effective November 8th, all experienced non-home daily, mileage-based PTI Regional drivers will receive on average a 7% pay increase and a minimum weekly pay guarantee. July 12-18, law enforcement throughout North America and Canada will be looking for drivers engaging in unsafe driving behavior’s on our nation’s roadways. The week-long initiative will focus on speeding, due to an alarming increase of average speeds measured during the first week of April, 2020. According to the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), speeds increased 75% compared to January and February. (PTI) was able to quickly adapt its advanced tablet technology to new driver orientations, shortening the training period from an in-person 3-day orientation to a virtual 1.5-day orientation. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, trucker deaths continue to rise and are at their highest level in more than 30 years. In 2018, 885 large truck occupants died, increasing almost 1 percent compared to the previous year. It is the highest since 1988 when 911 occupants of large trucks died.
