I would recommend an internship at Paper Transport. The role is immersive and the work I have been doing is useful and important to the team. I have developed many skills that are necessary for the workforce through both my position and the internship program itself. Throughout the year, the interns have the opportunity to sit with employees from other departments to learn about their roles and listen to informal lectures regarding a variety of topics. The schedule is flexible, and I can work part-time during the school year around my class schedule, which is important to me.

As an Operations Support Intern, I had the opportunity to learn the driver manager role in depth while building strong relationships with my peers and our professional drivers. Upon completion of my degree, I resumed the role of Senior Planner where I learned the planning side of the industry and worked directly with customers. As of April 2023, I moved into an Operations Planning Manager role. I am very thankful for the opportunities to keep growing and learning at Paper Transport and for the people who have aided my growth within the company. Paper Transport is truly a great place to work.

I truly enjoyed, and highly recommend an internship with Paper Transport. I had no experience with the transportation industry when I first began which led to my biggest fear - making mistakes. However, my fear was quickly put at ease. When I started with Paper Transport I was told “You will make mistakes, just learn from them." I don’t think there are many companies out there that would tell you flat out that you will mess up and it is okay. While some see making mistakes as a weakness, I have learned more from my mistakes than I have from my successes.
