PTI Moves Driver Pay Maintaining Industry Leading Pay Position

Green Bay, WI – Paper Transport is increasing pay for drivers by more than 5% in both its dedicated and regional one way operations.

Paper Transport is already recognized as a leader in driver pay.  Jeff Shefchik, president of Paper Transport notes, “Through continuous review of independent surveys, we are confident that we lead the industry in pay.  We believe it’s our responsibility to do so.”

“Leading in driver pay ensures we raise compensation for the employees that truly get the work done in this industry.  It also helps us recruit and retain the best people – ultimately improving the quality and cost of the service we deliver to our customers.

“We have heard the shippers’ calls to grow capacity as an industry.  As a company that plans to continue growing, we are happy to lead the way in attracting more drivers to the profession.”

Paper Transport’s turnover is half the industry average.  Shefchik continues, “For us, this isn’t a move to keep up with everyone else.  It’s taking a leadership role in demonstrating that our drivers are our most important employees.”

The increase is being rolled out across all of Paper Transport’s mileage paid fleets.  It takes effect October 19.
