Paper Transport Announces Largest Regional Pay Increase In Company History

We are excited to announce the largest regional pay increase in company history for our Class A CDL Regional Truck Drivers! Effective, June 6th, Paper Transport Regional drivers will receive an 8% – 25% pay increase in Midwestern and Southern United States operating areas. Furthermore, these positions include mileage-based Dedicated Regional and Non-Dedicated Regional divisions.

Why the Pay Increase?

“Professional drivers across the states have worked tirelessly over the last 18 months keeping America moving. Thus, we will continue keeping the economy humming,” stated Ben Schill, Vice President.  “This is a genuine recognition and a much-deserved raise for the hard-working professional drivers.”

Paper Transport’s goal was to get a number of its base compensation mileage rates to 60 cents per mile for drivers who run regionally and are home on a weekly basis.  Eighty-eight percent (88%) of its regional drivers will be at 60 cents per mile or above effective June 6. Of course, this pay increase includes drivers who reside in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Wisconsin.

“We believe this is where the market is headed and we wanted to be the first one to get there,” continued Schill. “Our 60 cent per mile peg is the true linehaul pay rate while driver incentives and additional pay such as detention and stop-offs are on top of this pay.”

Being True to our Philosophy

To sum up, Paper Transport’s philosophy reinforces the company’s core values and culture by inspiring employees to do great work, encouraging and retaining talent, and building trust within teams. “We have always been true and transparent with our pay versus some of the noise you see out there,” Schill stated. “For most of our drivers, this pay raise will equate to over $200 per week. Therefore, our high-guarantee pay on all of our fleets takes some of the stress out of the life of our professional drivers. We have always been a top carrier in terms of the brand; this new level of pay puts our pay in the premier category.  In January we increased wages for all local and hourly drivers and plan to make additional increases for these roles in the next few months.”
